Before your appointment
Tell Dalene about active skin conditions, medication, recent procedures, pregnancy, a tendency to form raised scars, or anything else that may affect healing. You may be asked to pause certain active skincare products for a short period before treatment.
During the treatment
The skin is cleansed and prepared before the microneedling device is moved across the treatment area in a controlled way. Treatment depth and technique depend on the area and the concern being addressed. Some people experience a scratching or prickling sensation.
What the skin may look like afterwards
Temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity or a tight feeling can occur. The skin may look similar to mild sun exposure for a short period. Exact recovery differs between people and treatment intensity.
Basic aftercare
- Follow the aftercare instructions provided for your treatment.
- Avoid unnecessary touching, rubbing or picking.
- Protect the skin from sun exposure and use suitable sun protection.
- Avoid introducing strong active products until advised.
- Contact Dalene if your reaction seems unusual or concerns you.
